Scam Alert: Fraudulent Traffic Violation Text Messages and Forms The Court has been made aware of fraudulent text messages and fake court forms claiming to be from the “California Supreme Court,” “District Court,” DMV, or another government agency regarding unpaid traffic violations. These messages may threaten arrest warrants, driver’s license suspension, vehicle impoundment, wage garnishment, or asset seizure unless payment is made immediately through a suspicious link. Do not click the link. Do not provide payment or personal information. The Court will not demand payment by text message or direct the public to suspicious websites such as unofficial links ending in unfamiliar domains.
