Supervised Visitation provides the non-custodial parent an opportunity to have parenting time with their children in a neutral safe setting. Parents are frequently referred to the program because concerns about substance abuse, child abuse, or domestic violence. Parents can maintain a relationship with their children while they are working on their problems. The Court contracts for the provider of supervised visitation services through Pat Riley and Bonnie Tweedy, counselors at the Amador Calaveras Counseling Service. The visits are held at their counseling office at 23 West St Charles Street in San Andreas. Parties interested in this service must complete an intake prior to beginning the visits. The program fallows the Uniform Standards of Practice for Providers of Supervised Visitation as listed in Family Code Sections 3201 and 3202.
